About me
I am a senior Higher Education leader with extensive experience across academic governance, quality assurance, student journey enhancement and computing education. My work brings regulatory expectations, institutional strategy and practical delivery into a form that colleagues can use with confidence.
Most recently, I served as Associate Dean for Quality Assurance and Enhancement at the University of Dundee, leading academic standards and enhancement across a large multidisciplinary School with more than 80 academic staff, over 2,800 students and substantial transnational education activity.
My approach is facilitative and enhancement-led. I work with academic and professional services colleagues to make governance clearer, assessment more coherent, and quality processes more useful for the people who rely on them.
Current and recent work includes academic governance, assessment policy, generative AI in education, transnational education quality, programme leadership and national computing education strategy.
I am also a Senior Lecturer in Computing, with research and teaching interests spanning human-computer interaction, accessibility, inclusive practice, computing education and the practical implications of digital tools in learning environments.
